Meet Me on the Hill at Dawn

March 28–May 30, 2021

We’ll let Kate describe this one:

Back when my girlfriend and I first started dating one of our most loved activities was perusing Craigslist together. Aside from trying to find free homegoods we spent a lot of time on the missed connections page enjoying the slices of Bay Area life that each post contained. One night we decided to get in the mix and write our own contribution. It read:

“Meet me on the hill at dawn!”

We got no responses to the post and didn't end up meeting anyone on a hill, but just hitting the post button was exhilarating enough for us. It is in that same intrepid spirit that I am revisiting this sentence. What is a billboard anyway if not a Craigslist of the sky!? This time I am taking the invitation a step further. As long as the billboard is up I will be scaling the hill at Grandview Park each Sunday at dawn with a one-of-a-kind treasure. It is my hope that a courageous billboard viewer will meet me there (from a safe distance with a mask on) and ceremoniously receive their reward. Let this missed connection become a FOUND connection!
